I still haven't made it to the "true ending," whatever it is, but I'm now certain there is one and I think I'm getting close. Got 1/3 items, which was the health bonus in the airport. Another item is a Megasphere that you can ledge jump for in the abstract brutalist reality with Evil Dog. However, once you get on this ledge, there seems to be no way off, so I had to reload and didn't get the item. The third one I guess would be the Soulsphere that you can see out of the window in Regular House, but I don't know how to get to it. In the original Legend Of Zelda, for example, it's the manual that gives you the only clues you will get from the game to defeat Ganon. Similarly, without MyHouse’s journal, you will miss clues, and the story context for how this WAD was made. Outside of an occasional monster popping up behind you, Doom was never really a horror game. It was a shooter with post-grunge, pre-nu metal intensity. Given the adaptation curse that no one can deny, it’d be no surprise if a Doom 2 mod inspired by a novel would result in the ultimate failure. The journal details a programmer falling into madness. The creator takes on this project in memory of a friend. Six months later, they’ve completed it, but essentially lost their mind, chronicling intense nightmares (which serve as a guide for how the gamer can proceed). Something is haunting this game’s creator, forcing them to finish MyHouse, and you won’t know why until you complete the game yourself.
I'm stuck here, and don't know what to do to finish the map. In any case, you're now in Regular House 2 and you have all six keys. This is where you start finding the "artifacts." At this point, more monsters can be seen to have populated the interior of the House. You are now in an "upgraded" version of the House complete with additional decorations and the more obvious use of UDMF features including polyobject doors.
